#1 | Antoine Barrot | January 2014
Antoine’s installation comprises of photographs and audio recordings, both a sociological commentary and an ontological investigation. A journey into the unknown urban environment he found himself in while on a 4 month artist exchange from France. Using architectural features found in the local urban landscape he creates a response to his newly discovered environment which at a first glance may look familiar: but on closer inspection there is something missing, strangely unbalanced, unreal and possibly untrue.

#1 | Kathryn Miller | April 2014
From a corridor the slide projector’s light hits a glass panel wall, broken by metal blinds it casts a projection onto uneven walls of the office. The slide projector clicks on and off. People walk slowly around the space casting their shadows.
#3 | Annamaria Kardos| 27th June 2014
Test taking: every, never, none
The work of Annamaria Kardos questions the relationship of power and control that are inherent to language and objects we use in our everyday interactions within public, educational and corporate settings. Working across media and functional spaces her work comes inseparably with a layer of humour. Annamaria has created a blog which forms part of “Test taking: every, never, none” –a new project and one-day show where she investigates some aspects of being continuously assessed and the fascination of question-testing ourselves. She will be looking at questions, responses and instructions associated with tests. Injecting a layer of humour her considerations and work will manoeuvre between the straightforward and counterproductive, the insignificant and relevant.
Test Taking: ever, never, none. The book.
